EUCEB (EUropean CErtification Board for mineral wool products) was created in 2000 in order to increase confidence of authorities, customers and consumers in the safety of mineral wools by providing information related to their non-classification under the European regulation. EUCEB is a not-for-profit association under Luxemburg law, whose general purpose is to voluntarily certify that the manufactured fibres have a chemical composition within the ranges of exonerated reference fibres, which have been tested in accordance with the European protocols and have shown to be in conformity with the Note Q of Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008.

Safety

All mineral wool insulation products manufactured by EUCEB members are safe to use. They are made of fibres complying with the Note Q criteria of the European Union regulations on classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures (EC No 1272/2008) and so not classified as hazardous.

INDEPENDENT

To ensure that fibres comply with the exoneration criteria, all tests and supervision procedures are carried out by independent and qualified experts and institutions.
