EUCEB is a not-for-profit association under Luxemburg law, whose general purpose is to voluntarily certify that the manufactured fibres have a chemical composition within the ranges of exonerated reference fibres, which have been tested in accordance with the European protocols and have shown to be in conformity with the Note Qthe of Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008.
The mission of EUCEB is that all the mineral wool products carrying the EUCEB Trademark are made of fibres which comply with note Q of Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008.
To ensure that fibres comply with the exoneration criteria EUCEB has appointed an independent certification body which supervises that all the EUCEB requirements for certification are met.
EUCEB vision is to secure stakeholder’s confidence in the safety of mineral wool products that are made of fibres not classified as hazardous under the European regulations.
EUCEB objective is to provide independent verification that manufactured fibres have a chemical composition within the ranges of exonerated reference fibres that have been tested in accordance to the European protocols to be in conformity with Note Q of the Regulation on the Classification, the Labelling and the Packaging of dangerous substances (CLP Regulation, Regulation (EC) n° 1272/2008).
